Sean died unexpectedly at his home after struggling with drug addiction for many years. He was the son of William P. and Pamela (Beauregard) Hanagan of Haverhill. Sean was brought up in the Bradford section of Haverhill. He was a 2004 graduate of Haverhill High School. Sean was employed with the Brandolini Construction Company in Haverhill as a skilled carpenter. He was blessed with great natural talent. Whatever he put his mind to; he did it, and did it well. He enjoyed snowboarding, fishing, hiking, writing poetry, and music. Above all, he cherished his time spent with his son, Brody W. Hanagan-Angelini of Newton, New Hampshire. Besides his son and parents, Sean leaves a brother, Adam R. Hanagan, and his wife, Danielle, of Haverhill; a niece, Mariah D. Hanagan; grandparents, Richard E. and Joanne L. Beauregard of Haverhill, and Diane (Archetti) and Arthur Foss of Atkinson, N.H. He was predeceased by his grandfather Richard "Zeke" Hanagan, who died two months prior. Sean also left several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Sean was a very unique individual. He cared a lot about his family and friends. Sean would've given the shirt off his back to a family member or friend who was in need. In his short life. Sean helped out an awful lot of people. He spent the last several months of his life as a client at the now-closed Starting Over Sober program in Haverhill. During that time he fought back with a vengeance against the disease of addiction. Sean was one of the managers at the sober house. He took his job seriously. Despite the fact that most of the other residents were older than Sean, they respected and listened to him. Some people who are twice as old as Sean are very irresponsible about making their child support payments. Sean took his responsibilities seriously. I remember on one occasion Sean told me that he refused to be a deadbeat dad and not support his son. He made sure that his son's mother received her support checks. Sean had a ledger in which he diligently kept track of his payments.
