Bob worked for an oil treatment company for twenty years, and then started his own oil treatment company that he appropriately called Best Chemical. He started the business in Oklahoma and Texas and his son took over the Texas company when he graduated from college. Gertie kept the books for the company that they had for twenty-five years before their retirement.

Bob was a delightful man to talk to.
