Loved his wife, Moe (Melissa J. Dickey Pentico); his family; his friends; and Krispy Kreme Donuts. Melissa said it best "Tico didn't love just a little bit." It was all or nothing with him. He was looking forward to the end of his enlistment and the beginning of a non-military life with Moe.

Killed along with Capt. Todd Bracy, Capt. James Cronin, Capt. Gil Williamson, Capt. Surender Kothakota, 1Lt. Ray Owens, Jr, CMSgt Lawrence Gray, TSgt James Henry, and TSgt Glenn Lastes when their C-130 crashed in Albania.
