I never met my Grandfather. He died when I was very young.
Edward and Elsie married around 1932 in Lufkin, Angelina County, Texas and one child was born to this union. My Mom, Vera Faye who is still living.

SENTENCE SUSPENDED IN RAIL TIES THEFT
Beaumont, June 27, .... Explaining that he stole junk rails to sell in order to buy food for his hungry family, Edward Beauchamp, 25, pleaded guilty in criminal district court today to the theft on March 11, of 65 old railroad rails from the Kirby Lumber company. The rails were valued at $1 apiece. The jury let Beauchamp off with a two-year suspended sentence. (My Mom was 3 at the time.)
My Grandfather, along with his brother, moved their families to Los Angeles in the early 1940's. My Mom tells me that she, along with her two younger cousins, rode in the rumble seat of the car driven by her Uncle all the way from Ft Worth, Texas to Los Angeles.
When WWII broke out, my Grandfather went to enlist in the Army. He was classified as 4-F due to him having flat feet.
Edward Thornwell Beauchamp died of a stroke far too young.
