Born in 1881 to William F.S. and Francis (Goode) McCarty. Lydia grew up in Christian County and married Charles N. Campbell. They had three daughters and four sons. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, one daughter, Velma and one son, Laymond; her parents and one son-in-law Frank Loveland. She was survived by daughters, Zella Loveland, and Charlene Cave and husband Roscoe. Three sons, Carl and wife Wilda, Roy "T" and wife Dorothia, and Blond and wife Helen; daughter-in-law, Flossie Campbell. She was a precious "Mommy Campbell" to eleven grandchildren. They were Raymond Keller, Charles Allen, Rosie, Velva Ann, Flossie, Peggie, Earl, Mary and Terry Campbell and Verba and Ginny Cave.
Our Mommy Campbell was a wonderful Christian woman. She raised her family by the word of God. She loved to tell stories of the past. She had a talent of writing poems. She loved for her family to get together and sing and play instruments.
Having her for a grandma was a big blessing in my life, she was someone to look up to... (all five foot of her.)
