Mrs. Amos

Mrs. Edna Amos, 72 of 402 N. Vance, Pocahontas passed away Monday (October 20, 1975) in Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock.

She was born April 1, 1903 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Sarah Ann Looney Going.

Survivors include her husband, Guy Amos of the home; a sister, Mrs. Alyus Wisner of Memphis; several nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday (October 22, 1975) in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Smith officiating.

Burial was in Masonic Cemetery under direction of McNabb's.

Pallbearers were Bill Carroll, Faye Sailee, A. I. McFall, F. C. Cox, Sr., Glenn Brown and Dud Singley.

EDNA ETHEL GOING AMOS was born in Hamil, Randolph County, Arkansas the 4th child of Charles Asro Going and Sarah Ann "Sally" Looney Going.


Edna married James Guy Amos on 20 Mar 1921 in Jonesboro, Craighead County, Arkansas.

They had no children.

Edna died in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas at 12:45 p.m. of Cryptococeal Meningitis.

She left behind 1 sibling:
Alyus Going Wisner, b. 06 Jul 1912


Along with her parents she had 4 siblings precede her in death:
