Mary Hectorina Monroe Boudny, 102, of Coupland, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at her home. She was born on December 17, 1900 on a small farm near Coupland. She spent all her life on this farm making a living and a home with her husband for her nine children. She continued to live on this farm and was visited often by her children and their children. She worked along side her husband tending the crops and the livestock. She baked bread and kolaches for her family and friends. She will live forever in the memories of her family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Monroe; husband, A. L. Boudny; daughters, Dorothy Drozd, and Barbara Boudny; and son, Alfred Boudny.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Bryan, Gene Boudny, Ruth Boudny, Irene Turner, Alice Boudny and Helen Fremin.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Sharon Talasek and husband Richard; Al Boudny and wife Ann; Alton Boudny and wife Kim and Alan Boudny; Darenda Phillips and husband Billy; Leelana Orr; Bill Bryan; Lavonna Lerche and husband Marcus; George Fremin, III and wife Robin; and Valerie Fremin.
She is survived by 11 great grandchildren: Jeff Talasek and wife Myrna; Alyssa Boudny; Erin Boudny; Christine Bellon; Bruce Phillips and wife Lisa; Kelli Jones and husband Jymm; Jeremy Orr and wife Cathy; Tamara Barringer and husband David; Benjamin Fremin; and Kimberley Turnage and husband Rick..
She is survived by 11 great-great grandchildren: Josh Phillips and wife Lacy; Brandon Phillips; Sarah Phillips; Jessica Bellon; Madelyn Bellon; Hollie Barringer; Raymond Barringer; Dale Lerche; Conner Turnage, and Delaney Orr.
She is survived by one great-great-great grandson Allen Phillips.

How will I remember mama? As a woman of quiet dignity, a woman with great strength of character. She was loving, patient, accepting of others and sometimes a little stubborn. She had a great sense of humor. Whenever we did anything for her she would ask, "How much do I owe you?" Of course we would always say, "A million dollars!"
When she was growing up they didn't have radio or TV. And up until the time her hearing began to fail, she would watch the news on TV everyday. And then she would call her friends and would often tell them what she had seen on the news. She also liked to read the newspaper. And would tell us what she had read.
Several years ago I watched a re-run of the Dukes of Hazard with her. We both laughed until we cried. She really liked those silly car chases they have on those shows. She liked the news, the weather and soap operas. She really liked TV! And she liked to listen to Fred Switzer's program. She'd listen to Fred while she had her breakfast. He always remembered her on her birthday. Thank you Mr. Switzer for being so good to her.
I truly believe she loved her husband completely for her entire life. She missed him everyday after his death. She loved her children. And mourned deeply when three of them died before she did.
She dearly loved her grandchildren,her great grandchildren,
her great great grand children and her great great great grand child.
I'm sure she would want you all to know - that each and every one of you was so very precious to her.
She will be missed but not forgotten.
