Sister Irabell Wall Whitson, was born in Martin's Ferry Ohio on September 24, 1945. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Ira and Anne Bell Hanely-Wall. She grew up in East Liverpool, where she attended East Liverpool City Schools. As a young girl she attended and was a member of the Stop Nine church of God in Christ. Sister Irabell united with the New Hope Baptist Chuch in November 1979. Where she sang with the Voices of Praise Choir and was a member of the Sunday School.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years; Frank Edward Whitson in August 2000.

The Lord sent his angel to carry Sister Irabell home on Thursday, December 28, 2000, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Sister Irabell leaves to mourn her passing; (3) daughters; Mrs. Deborah K. Wall-Kirkland and Ms. Arlene B. Whitson both of East Liverpool, and Ms Patricia L. Whitson of Wellsville, Ohio; a son Edward N. Whitson of East Liverpool; a sister Evelyn Wall of Kenosha WI. and a nephew, whom she reared, Bryant Whitson. She also leaves ten loving grandchildren which were her life; namely Roosevelt Kirby Jr. Cynthia Wall, Devon Whitson, and Dametrius Whitson all of East Liverpool; Deshawn Whitson, Tevin Whitson, Xavier Washington, and Tamarra Whitson all of Wellsville, Ohio; Togie Whitson and Devone Whitson of Pittsburgh, PA.

Two very close friends, Mrs. Ethel Chavis and Mrs. Marjorie Byrd; as well as other loved ones and friends.
