-Obituary-

On January 18, 1962 TIMOTHY WARD ARNOLD was born to the loving parents of the late Rev. Elmer Ward Arnold and Mrs. Claudean O. Arnold in Indianapolis, Indiana. TIMOTHY attended the Indianapolis Public Schools #70 and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1980.

TIM, or "WARD", as he was affectionately called only by close friends, excelled in track, wrestling, football and Junior R.O.T.C. TIM graduated as a full colonel and executive officer of Broad Ripple's Battalion. He performed as a skilled member of the Drill Team and received many medals and awards for his leadership and military skills.

His professional military education includes, Professional Military Education Level 1 and N.C.O. (Non-Commissioned-Officer) Leadership School.

SERGEANT ARNOLD enlisted in the Air Force on July 11, 1980. Upon completion of basic training and security technical school, he was assigned to the 15th Security Police Squadron (PACAF), Hickam AFB, Hawaii, where he performed duties as a Security Response Team member, Aircraft Sentry, and as a Security Controller where he exercised logic and constantly provided outstanding service under stressful situations.

In 1983, he was reassigned to the 341st Security Police Squadron (SAC) Malmstrom AFB, Montana. TIM decided to stay at Malmstrom a while, where he performed every different duty position possible, ranging from Alarm Response Team/Security Response Team/Alert Fire Team(ART/SRT/AFT)member/leader, Missle Support member/leader, Camper Alert Team leader, Backup Force member, Scheduler/Dispatcher Crew Leader and Convoy Response Leader. His leadership qualities and communication skills were evident even at this early stage in his career. As a Senior Airman, he supervised six newly assigned personnel, trainees assigned to him achieved excellence results on their End of Course exams initial Quality Control scores. His professionalism and can-do attitude were the main reasons why the 341st Security Police Group was the "Best" in Strategic Air Command in 1987. Upon completion of his tour at Malmstrom he was assigned to the 305th Security Police Squadron (AMC) Grissom AFB, Indiana, were he performed his duties as a Fire Team Leader and Area Supervisor. His attention to detail and his mastery of his job knowledge as a Security Policeman are a few of the reasons why the 305th SPS was named the Best Medium Security Police Unit in SAC for 1989. The unit received as execellent rating for the SAC ORI/UEI in April 1990. In August of 1994, TIM was reassigned to the 96th Security Police Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida where he performed duties as a Security Response Team Leader and Area Supervisor and Security Controller.

His decorations include the Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters and the National Defense Service Medal.

TIM was united in Marraige to Sharon Bell in 1983. As a result of this union three beautiful children were born. TIM adored his children and he was a dedicated father who instilled the love of God, respect and goodness in his family.

In November of 1988, TIM was raised into the brotherhood of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oregon F.&A.M., Norhtern Lights, Chapter #8.

SERGEANT TIMOTHY WARD ARNOLD touched a lot of lives in his years on this earth and leaves to cherish his memories three children, Brandy NeCole Arnold, Donte' Ward Arnold and Dione Jamal Arnold; three sisters, Deborah Arnold, Rebecca Arnold-Ross and Rene Arnold; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

TIM was blessed with many special people in his life. He also leaves to cherish his memories Tammy Johnson-Howard, whom he loves as a biological sister; the Session family, Earnest and Naomi who welcomed TIM into their family, loved and taught him lessons of life as though he was their own son; Reggie the brother TIM never had, and Sherri whom TIM loved as a sister and friend.

My family gives a lot of love to "Missing*U*Always ~ Loving*U*Forever" for sponsoring Timothy's memorial.
