Ernest was born in Duncan, Oklahoma to Sydney C. Ross and Dealva (Dismuke) Ross-Morris.
Ernest was a loving and wonderful father, husband, brother, son and uncle. He was particularly close to his special aunt and uncle Pat and Roy Ross and cousin Kenny Ross (all deceased).
Ernest lived with his beloved wife, Sharon Ross, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and worked as a welder at I.V.I. for 30 years. He was so overjoyed and proud when his first daughter was born and was even prouder as his son and second daughter were added to his family.
His eldest daughter gave him the most precious gift of a granddaughter named Gracy who "misses her Grandpa very much".
Ernest was the oldest son and one of four children born to Sydney and Dealva Ross.
Ernest enjoyed chess, hunting and horses. He made every effort to never miss a hunting season. He shared his love of hunting with his children and his nieces and nephews. He always had a kind word, a good joke and a levelheaded, understanding and loving nature. He was always generous to his family and his friends.
Ernest succumbed to his fight with cancer and left this world for a better place leaving his loving family and friends to miss him greatly.
Ernest was buried in Duncan Cemetery, Duncan, Oklahoma. Officiating the service was long time family friend, Brother Harold Metheny.
