You are taking a random walk through our online cemetery.
Birth: Jun. 8, 1913
Death: Aug. 21, 1964

Born in Kansas, Clyde was the son of Guy and Lizzie Davis. He had to leave school early, never graduating from high school, to support his family, and was later employed by the Soil Conservation Service in Manhattan, Kansas, from 1936 to 1943. He married Charlotte Ruth Weaver on November 19, 1937, initially living in Manhattan, Kansas, and they had two children: Lynette (born 1941) and Ronald (born 1949). At the age of 30, he enlisted into the US Marine Corps, during World War II, taking basic training in San Diego, California; he fell in love with the area and decided to live there following his military service. In October 1950, the family moved to Estes Park, Colorado and a year later, to Vista, California. His last job was as a carpenter, working out of Carpenter's Local 2078, on the new San Onofre Power Plant near San Clemente, California. Following his death, Charlotte and Lynette moved to Arizona, while Ronald lives in Vista, California. (bio by: Kit and Morgan Benson)
