My grandmother, Geneva Booker was a loving wonderful woman who took pride in her yard and home. She always had the most amazing yard filled with flowers, trees, ponds and waterfalls. She was a skilled seamstress and made beautiful clothes for her children and grandchildren. Together, she and Dillard had five children, Kathryn Courtney, Jimmie Booker, LeQueita Dicks, Carolyn Tillman (my mother) and John Booker. Just 19 days after Daddy Booker died, we found Mama Booker dead in her home, it was the first night she had been alone since Daddy Booker had died. I'm sure she died of a broken and lonely heart.
