Andrew Bruce Wallace, known as "Bruce" enlisted in the U.S. Army during the early years of WWII. He was assigned to artillery support and was with Gen. George S. Patton's, U.S. Third Army at Bastogne, during the Battle of the Bulge (Battle of the Ardennes Forest), where he was captured by the advancing German Army and held as a P.O.W. in a German P.O.W. Camp for the duration of the war.
