He had an older brother (Woodrow) and a younger sister (Jo Ann). He was survived by three daughters Linda Carol Armel, Diane Shultz, and Janice Duffy. His father was Willie Lee Walker and his mother was Louann Riddle Walker. He has 7 grandchildren. Mr. Walker joined the U.S. Army in 1941 and was assigned to the 36th Infantry Division. He went off to fight WW2 in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany. He seen and participated in alot of fighting with the Germans. He was one of the few soldiers that would talk about his combat experiences. His highest rank was Master Sergent. When he returned home after the war he went to Detroit to work in the factories. He came back to Putnam County, TN in the 1970s and started working for Fleet Guard in Cookeville making line manager. He was married and widower twice before his third and last marriage. The daughters are all from his first wife (Linda Anne). His second wife's name was Sadie. His parents, first two wives, and daughter Carol are all buried in the Cookeville City Cemetary. He married Nell Jane Leftwich in November 1979 and moved to Dodsons Branch in Jackson County. He retired from Fleet Guard in 1983. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and was buried wearing his Masonic apron. His cause of death was pneumonia.
