Father, brother, Husband, Son, Uncle and Cousin. His most prized thing in life was his son and wife. He passed away at Loyola Medical Center from problems he incurred while he was a volunteer firefighter in Tennessee. While at a fire he contracted smoke inhalation, and his heart shut down. An engine was parked on a wooded hill side with firefighters fighting a mountain side fire. The brakes on the truck released and started rolling towards unknowing firefighters. Chris jumped in, what was by then a smoke filled cab, and stopped the truck from hitting the firefighters below. Since then he was on total disability. His favorite job on the department was driving the trucks. He took so much pride in being a fireman. During his years in high school he was a tackle on the Romeoville High Football team. His love of football never waned. Neither his did love of the Blackhawks.
I'm going to miss you so much son. One day the pain will subside, but our love for you will always grow. You should have seen Grandma and Grandpa by now. Say Hi to everyone for us. We love you very much.
