Charlie was born in Medford, Massachusettes, the son of Charles J. Johnson and Ann Agnes (Neary) Johnson. He served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War. He was first married to Doris Kaplin(1) and they had a daughter, Cynthia. He worked for the Good Humor Company for many years, and later became an electrician. He married (2)Clare T. (Dolson) Lafferty on June 6, 1964. They moved to Chelmsford, Mass., where he was a member of the Elks Club. His hobby was gardening, and he grew beautiful flowers and vegetables. After his retirement, they moved to Bradenton, Florida, where they enjoyed being a part of the Windmill Manor community. He loved life and enjoyed get-togethers, always cooking for family and friends. He was also a member at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. He passed away at Blake Hospital in Bradenton, after a long illness. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Clare; his daughter, Cynthia Johnson; his step-daughters, Debra (Ghulam "Mike") Siddiqui and Denise (Richard) Therrien; his step-sons, William Lafferty and Timothy Lafferty; his son, Charles (Lucinia "Lucy") Johnson Jr.; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Arrangements were handled by Toale Brothers, Bradenton Chapel, and a funeral mass was held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. He will forever be loved and missed by all who were blessed to know him.
