Served in the United States Army as a Staff Sgt.Enlisted on March 26,1941 at Fort Hayes.Discharged-November 21st,1945,decorations are American Theater Ribbon,World War II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.Attended the Motor Maintenance School at Camp Lee,Virginia in 1941.
In January 1944 was stationed at Northington General Hospital in Tuscallosa, Alabama,with the 4447 S.C.U.Medical Sec.
Brother of Hugh Kenneth McDonald and Hazel R. McDonald both of Dresden,Ohio.
Widower of Ella Webb of Brunswick County,Virginia .Married on December 16,1943 in Richmond.
Was the owner of McDonald Auto Machine Shop in Lawrenceville,Virginia.
