Louotta Cruzan was the only child of John "Roger" Lydick and Iva Louotta Garner. She was born near Stroud, Oklahoma on 18 December 1914. Louotta married Melvin Melroy Cruzan, 22 August 1932, Chandler, Oklahoma. Their two sons, Roger and Randy, were born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Melvin was transferred to Houston, Texas in about 1954. They established Cruz's Drapery a few years later. They lived there until about 1994 when they moved to LaJunta, Colorado, to be near their sons. Louotta was taken to a hospital in Houston, Texas, where she died. She was survived by her husband, Melvin, sons, Roger and Randy , 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. One grandson, Craig Allen Cruzan, preceded her in death in 1989.
