YOUNG. -- On Monday, February 25, 1878, at the family residence in Ottawa Township, Mrs. Elizabeth Young, wife of John Young, aged 70 years, 4 months, and 29 days.
Her illness was of short duration -- only a few days -- though very severe. Mrs. Young was among the oldest pioneers of this county. She was born Sept. 27th, 1807, in Alleghany County, Penn., and came to Kansas with her husband in 1858, and settled in Franklin County the following year, where they have since resided. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, and was much beloved and respected by all who knew her.
She leaves a husband and a large family to mourn her loss.
The Bible record states Elizabeth was born October 28, 1808 and the obituary states she was born September 27, 1807. Conflict Oct. 28, 1808 ?
