She was left a widow at the age of 38 after her husband Lem died from injuries sustained in an accident when his arm was caught in a corn sheller ripping the flesh from the bones, He died from gangreen and shock. It was a hard life raising and caring for a large family of children during difficult times.She was an amazing lady depending on her Lord, Jesus Christ for strength. She raised seven amazing children.
