Husband of Lena E. Clemmons, Father of Barbara Alayne (Cuthbert), and Larry Dwight Clemmons.

Dwight B. Clemmons was born July 12, 1911 in Beaver County, OK to Alvin & Ina Clemmons. In the fall of that year the family moved to Missouri where Dwight's father did farm work and in 1913 they moved to Coldwater, KS. In the spring of 1914 they returned to the family homestead in Beaver County, OK by covered wagon.

In the fall of 1917 Dwight started school - it was a one room school with all 8 grades. In his Junior and Senior years in high school Dwight worked as a school bus driver for $20 a month. He graduated from High School in 1928.

Dwight was united in marriage to Lena Elizabeth Trahern on March 30, 1935. To this union 2 children were born, Barbara and Larry. From 1937 until 1944 Dwight held jobs as an auto mechanic in Liberal, KS and also in Medicine Lodge. Dwight and Betty moved to Colorado in 1944 where they farmed south of Flagler for several years and then bought a home in the north part of Flagler. Dwight worked at the Chevrolet garage here until 1952, and then was in partnership for a number of years in a filling station and garage on South Main.

In 1960 he took the J.I. Case franchise and with Larry turned it into a profitable venture. In 1970 their business was selected as the top CAse dealer in 4 wheel drive tractors in the Kansas City Branch which includes 5 states. In 1975 the business sold and Dwight retired.

Dwight made his commitment to Christ early in life and on December 12, 1956, he united in membership with the Flager Baptist Church. Dwight served his church in many capacities over the years and each became an opportunity for growth in the grace and knowledge of Christ. He served as fireman for 25 years and took an active part in various civic organizations.

Dwight was a hard worker and loved the business he and his son established to serve the community and surrounding area. He always felt a keen sense of responsibility to hes customers to insure their satisfaction with his products and services. Dwight earned a reputation throughout Eastern Colorado as an honest man in his business dealings and for being loyal to his friends.

Dwight departed this life in the early hours of August 1, 1993. We will all miss him and his memory will remain bright.
