PFC. Kenneth Gordon "Bud" Hippert
Born April 26, 1921 at Newmanstown, Pennsylvania. Educated in Millcreek Township Schools and graduated class 1939. Was a member of high school band.
Inducted into United States Army March 6, 1944 at New Cumberland and was transferred to Camp Blanding, Florida. He received order to leave the U.S. in August 1944 and
was a member of the Fifth Division (Red Diamond) under General Patton. In a letter from Chaplin, William S. Jones, U.S.A. 11th Army, dated June 15, 1945, word was received that
he was killed by a sniper in house to house combat in Ludweiln, Germany.
