Raised in Southampton County-the 6th of 8 children whose parents were Orris and Martha Beale Moore-moved to Milton Va. outside of Charlottesville-met and married Anna Proffit-March 31, 1892- moved to Charlottesville-the father of 5 children-Orris-Ola-Otley-Odelia and Massie.
