Son of Alph Hiram Cottrill and Flossie 'Flo' Hinzman, he was born in Quiet Dell, West Virginia on 6 May 1914 and died in Escondido, California 5 Oct 1997. He had married Rosa Vergie nee Snyder who is also buried here.



Cottrill, George N., 83, passed away 5 Oct 1997. Born in West Virginia, he was a resident of San Diego for 53 years. Served in the Navy during WWII and Korea and retired from Teledyne Ryan after 30 years. He was a member of the Retirees Chapter of UAW Local 506. He is survived by a son Wm H. "Bill" Cottrill and wife Olivia of Denver, daughter Carole Sue and her husband Patrick Russell of Ramona, grandchildren Cristina Meaden, and husband Tom and Wade Cottrill all of Colorado, Jennifer Russell of Ramona, Colleen Pinckney and husband Scott of Flagstaff & great grandson Jason Pinckney. Private Interment at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery. Balboa Cremation Services.
