Born in Mass. He came out to Nevada in 1860 to work in the Silver Mines, He Died on Oct. 17th 1863 from blood poisoning from an infected wound he received when his right hand was crushed by an ore car.

The attached photo is courtesy of The Gold Hill Cemetery Historical Soc. The two color photos were taken in 1998 and show you what The Gold Hill Nevada City Cemetery looks like today.
