Luigia D. Resmini, a resident of Bridgewater, passed away Oct. 15, 2010 at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a long courageous battle with COPD. She was the beloved wife of Louis J. Resmini for 58 years. Born and raised in Monza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Mansueto and Dellina Baldini. Luigia worked in the John E. Lucey Shoe Company as a stitcher for 22 years and then spent the next 20 years working in the Housekeeping Department of Bridgewater State College. She was well-known and loved by all faculty and students of the college particularly those at Great Hill Dorm and Harrington Hall. She was honored several times during her years of employment with the Presidents Circle Award which is given for excellence in service and public relations. Luigia loved her family and life at home. Her hobbies included cooking, crocheting, knitting, sewing, and gardening. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed helping the sick and needy. She also had a passion for all animals great and small, and especially all her dogs. Her nickname was Charro as she loved music, singing, and especially dancing. She touched every person that came into her life and always made them feel they were a part of her family. She is survived by her husband, Louis J. Resmini. Her loving, devoted daughter Mary, her grandchildren, a sister, Edda, and niece Anna of Italy; cousins, Elizabeth and Danny , sons-in-law, Michael and Lawrence, and dearest longtime friend Dellyne. She was the sister of the late Olivano Baldini who passed away in 2006.
