Sophie was all about family and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She remained very close to her McKim in-laws even years after her divorce from Jack. Sophie knew almost everyone in town and was very active in her community. She had a passion for Las Vegas and she would make her yearly pilgrimage to Vegas, meeting up with family from California. She also liked the Indian casinos in her home state of Minnesota.
The doctors gave Sophie a few months to live and in that time she penned letters to her family and loved ones making sure she said all her good-byes. Sophie died from a brain aneurysms and is buried with her second husband Christ. She would have been bursting with joy this month (Jan. 2002) as she became a great grandmother for the first time to a beautiful baby boy.∼For Bio and personal photos of Sophie Evanoff see Memorial #6082534.
