Quaton, a Nisqually Indian woman, was the daughter of Stwalid & Bokdote. According to Catholic Church records, at the time of her children's baptism in 1839, she was referred to as Marie Anne Nisqually.

In 1833 she married Louis Sagohanenchta, often referred to as "Louis the Iroquois", who drowned at 33 years of age in 1837. Together they had Catherine born 1834 & Ignace born 1837.
