Elizabeth Clady-Quintero peacefully passed away with family at her side on Tuesday January 11, 2011. Born on the Mashantucket (Western) Pequot reservation at the original homestead on May 17, 1920, at the time of her death she was the oldest member of the tribe. Having spent most of her life in California where she worked as a movie extra in many western films in the early 40's, she returned to Connecticut and the reservation in 2000. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, Nicolas M. Quintero, her son, Nicolas C. Quintero, her older siblings Charles Clady and Vera Lee, her younger siblings Donald Clady, Eva Pearson and Theresa Hayward.
