Nellie Mae Jones Greer passed away at home on Thursday, March 14, 2002, after a long illness.
She was the daughter of Frank and Winnie Kent Jones of Hinsdale. She attended Jones Rural School and graduated from Hinsdale High School in 1947. She worked hard all of her life. Nellie worked with horses in Montana, Colorado, and Illinois. She married Charles Dunwiddie and later,Robert Greer Jr. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by seven children; Robert John Greer of Sterling, Ill., Jane Milder of Billings, Linda Strawbridge of Great Falls, Tom Greer of Geneseo, Ill., Sally Kelly of Palmdale, Calif., Yvonne Paddick of Jackson, Ky., and Scott Greer of Erie, Ill.; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters; Mona Stordahl and Rene Lock; two brothers, Frank Jones and Thomas Jones. She was preceded in death by her husbands and nine siblings.
Services for Nellie Jones Greer will be at 1 p.m. on March20 at the Methodist Church in Hinsdale. Funeral home Bell Mortuary of Glasgow.
