This is my grandfather! He was known as Bud!

A big thank you to GuyB for his wonderful thoughtfulness for sponsering my grandfathers site. It has touched us to know that someone would considering doing this for someone they didn't know! Thank-you from all of Bud's family!

Melvin died surrounded by his family.

He was owner and operator of Certilawn Sod Service Inc. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 23 years with the USAF, during the time he starred in the movie Twelve O'clock Noon. He loved dogs and flying.

He always had a smile for everyone and loved to just sit and talk about anything. His passion was his family and those who were close to him. He enjoyed working in the yard with his dogs, talking with friends and family and watching the Miami Dolphins and the Orlando Magic.

He leaves his daughters, Jennifer Hickman and Lissa Tibbles of Melbourne, FL; and Claire McKinney of Lafayette, IN.

Eight grandchildren; Christa, Adam and Matthew Hickman, Amanda McKinney, Ben, Anna, Zac, and Claire Tibbles.

Also a sister mourns: Martha King

Family members who are buried beside him:
His Mother, Bonnie Steegmiller
His Father, Charles Steegmiller
His Sister, Freda Steegmiller
His Daughters Susan Gail Steegmiller and Baby Steegmiller
He is missed greatly by his family! He will never be forgotten and always remembered by just being who he was! He was a great inspiration to us all and touches us still!
