Mrs. Quarles was born July 6, 1901, in Lanagan, Mo., unto James and Sallie Glass. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1927. She was a graduate of the San Jacinto School of Beauty of Amarillo and owned and operated beauty shops in Amarillo.

She was a lifetime member of Texas Cosmetology Association of Texas and was a retired member of the Bluebonnet Auxiliary and Mothers-in-Law Club.
