Pat was born in Meadville PA and grew up in Fredonia PA. She became a music teacher and married Craig A. Stewart just before World War II. Craig entered the Navy and stayed in until his death in 1966 so Pat was a military wife and traveled widely. After Craig's death she settled in Toms River NJ and taught piano.
She was kind and loved working with children and the handicapped. She also loved animals, especially her pet cats and dogs.
