Ronnie Bryant, age 55, died at Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, September 17, 2011 after a two and a half year battle with cancer.

Born December 7, 1955 in Centerville, MS. He lived in Denham Springs, LA. He worked at EXXON as an insulator foreman for 35 years. Ronnie was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his children, Ronnie Dewayne Bryant, Jason Bryant, Shanna Holmes and stepdaughter Christina Rothman; his wife, Bandi; 7 grandchildren and one lovingly anticipated; mother, Eunice Bryant; sister, Kathy Simmons; brother, Cecil Bryant and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Bill Bryant; his grandparents, including grandmother Kmeil Stroud; numerous cousins and his Aunt Rene.

Known to all as a hard worker, loyal, calm in nature, and compassionate, he was not someone you would read about in Time magazine or in the newspapers but to his family and friends he was more important than he realized. He wasn't just a good man, but an awesome man who everyone loved, admired and respected. His calm disposition made him a natural peace maker but more importantly a peace keeper. Ronnie was always just a phone call away, it never mattered who it was or what needed to be done, he did it to the best of his ability.

Family always came first with Ronnie. He was deeply devoted to his family and always wanted what was best for them. He provided love and support in every way he could. As a son, he honored his parents by becoming the man they knew he could be. He fulfilled his role as a brother by being compassionate and always available when called upon. In his role as Dad, Ronnie shined as he taught his children life's lessons. As a husband he excelled in providing a content and happy home. He led by example for others to follow in his footsteps.
