Donnell was the daughter of Rev Dan and Nell Cleveland, founders and ministers at The Church In The Barn, El Monte, California for over 45 years.

At the age of 17, she married Robert Batts, and together they had five children. Chris (Dianna), Donald (Denise), Brenda (Vito/Al/Tone), Cynda (Joe/Mark), and Brian (Diane).

Donnell and Robert were very active in the church music department singing on the weekly radio programs. Donnell had a beautiful voice and sang many songs in quartets, duets, solo's and in the choir.

Donnell and Robert divorced in 1962. Robert retained custody of the five children.

Donnell later married Clarence Henderson on April 18, 1970. They were married for about 23 years when he passed away from a heart attack.

Robert passed away February 6, 2019 in Hesperia.

Her son Donald passed away in 2009 from a heart attack.

Donnell was cremated and the whereabouts of her ashes are unknown and there is no headstone anywhere,,,, yet.

She was my husbands Mother and I was proud to call her Mom.
