Ida Marie Daw, age 82, of Kahoka, MO, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at the Clark Co Nursing Home in Kahoka. A lifelong resident of Clark County, Ida was born March 22, 1921 in Clark County to Arthur Chester and Effie Haage Klingebiel. She married Thomas W W Daw on April 19, 1941. To this union was born one son, Harry Arthur, who is a retired teacher and with his wife, Alice Grover Daw, lived in Troy MO. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W W Daw, of rural Kahoka, MO; her son, Harry Arthur Daw and his wife, Alice of Troy, MO; two grandsons, Harry Arthur Daw, II, and his children, Austin Thomas and Brendan, of O'Fallon, MO and Myron Lloyd Daw and his wife, Amee, and their daughters, Alexis and Agibail, of Troy, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nove Klingebiel of Galesburg, IL, John and Phoebe Daw of Farmington, IA, and Harry J and Norinne Daw of Rock Island, IL; an aunt Elizabeth Upp of Keokuk, IA; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Chester "Chuck" and George Klingebiel; and a sister, Rose Gross. Ida graduated from Wayland High School in 1937, received a B A in Education from Culver Stockton College in 1961 and a M A in speech Pathology from W I U in 1969. She taught 42 1/2 years in rural and elementary schools and Speech in Clark Co schools. Following her retirement in 1988, she tutored Labach Literacy and children with speech and reading difficulties.
