Paternal grandparents: David Stansell b. abt. 1796 and Priscilla Chastain b. abt. 1797.

Maternal grandparents: Joshua Prichard Jr. b. November 24, 1807 and Sarah "Sallie" Echols (Eccles) b. September 28, 1803.

Lillie moved with her parents and siblings to Cisco, Eastland County, Texas from Cobb County, Georgia in 1885.

She married Luther McLane Carmichael on January 26, 1904 in Cisco, Eastland County, Texas. The couple had four children: Bernis Wilson, Carlton James, Loveta Mae, and Ruth Aileen.

Lillie, L.M., and Bernis moved from Cisco, Texas to Kenna, Roosevelt County, New Mexico in about 1907. L. M. was a retail merchant in Kenna for several years along with his brothers, Thomas and Charles. In 1911 the family moved to a homestead three miles southeast of Kenna.

When the children began entering college in 1925 Lillie managed a second home in Lubbock, Texas to be near Texas Technological College. She managed the ranch at Kenna after L.M. died in 1930. In the 1950s she retired from the ranch and lived near her daughter Loveta in Lubbock.
