Rosetta was the daughter of John Henry Birge and Alice Snoddy Birge. Her siblings were: George Washington, Lillie, Charlie Greer, Zora and Elzie.

Rosetta married Alfred Harrison Stacy on August 13, 1911 in Arkansas. She was called Zetty by her husband of 54 years.

They had ten children: Eual, Homer, John, Thelma, Della, Doyle, Lee, Lula, Margie and Shirley.

We were always told that Rosetta's mother was 1/2 Cherokee and her grandfather was full blood. We can not prove this but her daughters say they remember her talking about her mother being Cherokee and how her grandfather 'wore the feathers'!

She was a devoted wife and mother and worked hard all her life to make a home for her family. She was a very small, quiet and sweet person and very loved by everyone.
