He moved to Indiana from Romeoville, Illinois in 1996. He drove a truck for a propane gas company and was previously a taxidermist. He was also a Military Veteran. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent a lot of time on Lake Erie.
He left behind a wife, Carolyn "Bunny" (Schlottman) who he married in Villa Park, Illinois in 1969; a son Scott (Anna) Hoffman of Fairbury, IL, daughter Cindy (Larry) Yost and 3 grandchildren, Kory Housing, Abigail and Brianna Hoffman, and beloved rottweiler, Tasha.
Since Mr. Hoffman's passing, the family has grown to include granddaughters Johnnessa Yost and Kayla Hoffman, and grandson, Johnathon Hoffman.
