Clara was born Minerva June McGale in Chicago Illinois to Harry and Frieda (Doldt) McGale. She had one brother and four sisters, Joyce McGale, Harriet ("Red") Johnson, Lorraine Gleason, Norman McGale, and her younger identical twin, Rose Schlottman (born Rosalind Matilda McGale). She was married to Ed Hendricks, who owns a large piano business in suburban Chicago. They had two daughters, Patsy Hendricks Finley and Linda Hendricks Jenkins. Mrs. Hendricks died of lung cancer which spead to other parts of her body.

Clara M. Hendricks, nee McGale, age 77, of Willowbrook, IL, loving wife of Ed; beloved mother of Pat (Ron) Finley and Linda (William) Jenkins; cherished grandmother of Aaron, Nathan, Kristen and Troy; dear sister of Rose (Don) Schlottman.
