Members of the Society of the Cincinnati, and a few of their notable relatives and descendants. The Society was founded on May 13, 1783 by and for officers serving under the command of General Washington in the Continental Line. It is now composed of 14 constituent parts: 13 state societies, one for each original colony, and a Societe de France.
