Bataan-Corregidor

This virtual cemetery began as a means to identify individuals who were part of the Bataan Death March during WWII. It now includes the Angels of Bataan, veterans of Corregidor and others involved defending against the Imperial Japanese Occupation of the Philippines. The Bataan Peninsula and Corregidor were the last defensive positions before being compelled to surrender to the Japanese. The Angels of Bataan were US Army nurses that were also held as POWs. They too risked their lives to help other POWs with medications and food. If there are individuals that could be added to this virtual cemetery, Please submit their names and memorial numbers to me so they can be included in this distinct group. There are a couple of virtual cemeteries for the 192nd Tank Corps units managed by JimO; Memorial B, Memorial C, and Memorial D
