A Virtual Cemetery created by in memory of grandma

Jenkins family

NOTE: I'm making this virtual cemetery for those that are orphaned at this time. The patriarch of all of these Jenkins is John Jenkins Sr. (1783 Wales - 1852 Newport, Herkimer Co, New York). He had 14 children. He was married to Jane Jenkins as was in the 1850 census and his 1852 will. I was under the impression that Jane was the mother of all these children. However, the Newport Historical Society had some drawing that said there was a Marth Jane Davis who was the mother. This has yet to be resolved...From the time his will was written he had 10 living children. One son was not listed by name in the Will. It was Daniel Jenkins. Unfortunately, buy 1852 when the will was read, he lost another child: Mary (Jenkins) Johnson. I will list the 10 known children, then I will list 4 more that are suggested. Those four listed is still to be finalized...Mentioned in the will of John Jenkins:1) Thomas (Perhaps buried in the neglected Welch Cemetery.) 2) John (Civil war casualty from disease in Iuka, Miss -- grave unknown)3) Joseph (Buried in Newport's city cemetery.)4) George (Perhaps buried in the neglected Welch Cemetery.)5) James (Perhaps buried in the neglected Welch Cemetery.)6) David J Jenkins (Buried in Janesville, Waseca Co, MN)7) Eleanor G (Jenkins) Walker (Buried in Newport City Cemetery)8) Mary (wife of Henry JOHNSON) (Probably buried around Waukesha Co, Wis)9) Catherine (wife of Samuel NOX) (Perhaps buried around Pierce Co, Wis) 10)Daniel (buried in Beloit, Mitchell Co, Kansas) (He was not mentioned by name in the will; he was the unlisted living 7th son. Here is a possible list of the remaining 4 children.Perhaps they too are buried in the Welch cemetery.11)Isaac12)Noah13)Jane14)RachelIn this virtual cemetery, I will have those that are not linked to the Jenkins because perhaps they are from branches of the 14 children for whom we do not have their graves. For instance Delphena (Knox) Ostrom was a granddaughter of John Jenkins Sr via Catherine (Jenkins) Knox and Samuel Knox. Until we find Catherine's grave, this is the only way to have Delphena connected to the Jenkins family...
