Travis AFB 1951 Mar 8 B-29 Crew

Crew of B-29 that crashed in Yolo Co CA on 8 Mar 1951. It flew from Travis AFB. A fire developed in an engine and the engine subsequently fell off the airplane. The crew bailed out. One man Harry D Bolton made a successful bail out from the plane but lost his life when he landed in a swollen river and drowned. The rest of the crew survived the bail out.
