Operation Pandora's Box

On February 22nd, 1974, disgruntled businessman Samuel Byck attempted to hijack a commercial jet at the Baltimore Airport with the intention of crashing it into the White House to assassinate President Nixon. After killing two people while trying to commandeer the plane, Byck was wounded by police, and shot himself rather than be captured. He referred to his plan as "Operation Pandora's Box."
