James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Edward Cahill.
He is survived by his wife Karen of the family home; daughter Natilie Cahill of Denver; son Jeremy Hackbarth of Denver; brother Daniel Cahill of Bennett, Colo.; grandson Wyatte Hackbarth and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cimarron area veterans at Cimarron Village Hall, PO Box 654, Cimarron, NM.
Inurnment will be held Monday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 9644 at 2680 W. Hampton following the service.
Arrangements for James M. Cahill are under the direction of the Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
