HITCHCOCK — Mr. Haskell Neil Ashlock passed from this life Sunday, October 8, 2006, in Galveston.

Born July 9, 1944, in Denton, Mr. Ashlock had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1974, previously of Texas City and Crystal Beach. He had been employed at US Plywood for 17 years, served in the US Army, attended Rockview Church and enjoyed many activities including playing his guitar, reading, horses, going to the movies, motorcycles, target shooting, archery and traveling.

Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Alta Mae (Junkins) Ashlock, survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Donald Earl and Betty Ashlock of Rice; niece, Anna Ashlock Bayes; nephew, Linus and Kerri Ashlock; great nieces, Emily Ashlock, Ashlyn and Kendall Bayes and great nephew, Matthew Ashlock.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Waye officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
