Jean Carney, 93 of Westbrook, wife of actor, Art Carney passed away October 31, 2012. She was born January 18, 1919 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Rollin and Edith (Armstrong) Myers. Jean is preceded in death by husband, Arthur W. Carney and parents. Jean is survived by three children; Eileen Carney of Old Saybrook, Brian Carney of N. Salem, NY and Paul Carney of Westbrook, six grandchildren; Kirsten Reifeiss, Christopher Reifeiss, Jill Carney, Amanda Carney, Shaine Belli (Kevin) and Devin Carney, and one great grandson, Garrett Carney. Jean was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and past president of the ECW, she also volunteered at Gladeview Health Care in Old Saybrook. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 336 Main Street in Old Saybrook on Tuesday, November 6 at 11 AM with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
