Adolph John Dvorak was born July 26, 1922 on the family farm near Herman, Minnesota, the son of Adolph, Sr. and Jeanette Dvorak. Adolph always loved farming. As a youngster he learned to drive the tractor. He would start at sunrise and continue into the night using the tractor lights. Adolph graduated as Valedictorian of the June 1939 class at Herman High School. After a short time at a tech school near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Adolph was asked to return home to help run the family farm, where he continued as a successful grain and livestock farmer throughout the rest of his life. He loved cattle and being a "cattleman." He did not believe in retirement.

Adolph was a lifelong, active member of the Herman United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and served on several committees. Adolph was a Certified Seed Grower, served on the township board and the Herman Co-op Elevator Board, and was a member of the Minnesota Crop Improvement Association, the West Central Cattlemen's Association, and the Morris Chapter of the Heart to Heart Club.

A bachelor until his early 50's, Adolph married Oliva Christensen Berg on May 18, 1974 in Cyrus, Minnesota. Adolph was devoted to his wife and family and friends. For years, Adolph and Oliva traveled many miles for baptisms, confirmations, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and special occasions. He felt special when he could help those in need, especially at church, and was there with roasters of chicken and watermelon boats on many occasions.

Adolph Dvorak died on October 30, 2012 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota. He lived to reach the age of 90 years.

Adolph is survived by his brother, Robert Dvorak; niece, Kay (Jerry) Hanson; nephew, Dean (Laurie) Dvorak; stepsons, Herbert (Marilyn) Berg, Cecil (Rose) Berg, Marcus (Susan) Berg, Dick (Becky) Berg and Steve (Connie) Berg; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
