Funeral services for Deacon Victor Charles "VC" Hemphill, 87, of 2002 W. Buford St., husband of Gwendolyn Franklin Hemphill, will be held Monday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. at Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Golden, Dr. James W. Sanders Jr., the Rev. A.J. Smith, the Rev. Antonio Clinkscales and the Rev. Tony Macomson officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Oakland Cemetery. He will lie instate from 12 noon until the hour of the service .
